The vibrant scenes from the past, the gorgeous locations, and a satisfying tale of retribution—plus, Vincent Price is featured. Roger Corman directed, with Matheson penning the script, and naturally, it's based on an Edgar Allan Poe narrative. It’s really quite enjoyable, particularly as the story nears its conclusion. It brought to mind House on Haunted Hill (1959), and those who recall that film’s ending will understand what I mean. I would absolutely recommend watching it; it fulfills so many desirable qualities for me.
