I haven’t frequently enjoyed the "Pink Panther," yet I’ve always considered Henry Mancini’s theme music, with its distinctive saxophone sound, to be brilliant. In this instance, the artist is attempting to depict everything in shades of blue, but the panther isn't cooperating. There’s a push and pull between grey and blue/pink hues; pink/blue – it feels like an endless battle. It might continue indefinitely, or at least until someone exhausts their supply of paint. Annoyed, the artist resolves to resolve his irritating opponent permanently. Does he succeed? The sequence does feel drawn out; the point is made fairly early on, around three minutes in, but it remains reasonably enjoyable—particularly the scene involving the garden sprinkler!
