This film demonstrates once again Wes Anderson’s distinctive style, allowing each aspect of the production to stand out – Adam Stockhausen's elaborate set design, Alexandre Desplat's clever music, and Bruno Delbonnel's precisely composed visuals all contribute. The movie finds a noteworthy equilibrium in its subject matter; by depicting how someone driven by pride and desire changes into a caring and restored father, the writer-director presents an honest look at remorse, rebuilding relationships with family, and putting others’ needs before your own. The understated but deliberate acting from Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, and Michael Cera supports that emotional center, lending a sense of realism to a carefully constructed environment.
