I really like inexpensive science fiction movies; they were a staple for me growing up. But this one simply doesn’t have anything worthwhile to offer. Apparently, radioactive material deep underwater has spawned this unsettling creature, and a group of scientists are sent to look into it when corpses begin appearing on the beach. The biggest issue is that absolutely nothing occurs. The monster certainly earns its name – you barely see it at all. What's left feels like drawn-out (and often overly sentimental) dialogue alongside some flimsy scientific intrigue. I’m afraid this one is just terrible.
