The initial idea behind this movie seemed promising, but ultimately it fell flat due to some serious problems. Several performers gave noticeably weak performances, and a few characters proved incredibly frustrating – Kuan’s character, in particular, was so irritating that I considered fast-forwarding through her scenes; the concept was intriguing, but poorly executed. My interest was primarily focused on Ines and the mythology presented. Beyond those elements, it felt like a waste of time to continue watching. It was disappointing because this could have been truly great. It’s easily among the most tedious films I've seen this year. To its credit, the pacing wasn't bad; the director managed to keep things moving smoothly. The issue isn’t that it felt slow, but rather that the story itself lacked excitement. I also couldn't figure out if the relationship between Alos was intended as queer baiting or simply a platonic friendship involving asexual and aromantic characters – what exactly was going on there? The final twenty minutes were the most engaging part of the entire movie.
