The central issue seems to be a disconnect between adults and kids, and whether there’s common ground—leading to questions about who the intended viewers actually are. It's enjoyable enough, admittedly, but it's not something most people will feel compelled to watch again, with the possible exception of me, because of Brittany Snow. The relationships that develop do become somewhat appealing, though they’re largely presented within a simplified and promotional military narrative that the target demographic likely wouldn’t even notice.
