It offers an unusual approach to dealing with marital issues! The beginning is sluggish, but the latter portion makes sitting through it worthwhile. It’s best to go in knowing absolutely nothing about the plot; just watch and enjoy yourself. That's exactly what happened for me, and I ended up thinking it was pretty good. I wasn’t familiar with this director before, but they seem to be working on these kinds of smaller films with a distinctive feel, much like Mark Duplass does. There were no real surprises, though I did expect to enjoy it quite a bit. The film's subject matter is somewhat reminiscent of 'Coherence'. The story centers around a married couple, at least initially. It’s a low-cast production set in an isolated villa. Following their therapist’s advice, a couple on the brink of divorce tries a weekend retreat to mend things, but they unexpectedly encounter strange occurrences that are more appealing than what they anticipated. Problems arise when they start to grasp the truth and need to resolve everything. The third act was truly impressive. The story's momentum builds, and the rising tension generates considerable curiosity about how it will all end. However, the resolution felt rather straightforward and predictable. I appreciated its simplicity over excessive complexity; still, viewers are likely to want explanations regarding the ending, leaving plenty of room for conversation. I’m a big fan of contemporary science fiction dramas—particularly those from the past ten years—and I've really been enjoying films that are both clever and casually told in a way that is accessible to everyone. If you appreciated movies like 'Coherence', 'Another Earth', 'Her', or 'Melancholy,' then you’ll probably have a good time with this one too. 7/10
