Seeing this on IMAX explains all the buzz surrounding the film. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert on Greek mythology, but I can confidently say that this movie is a truly remarkable achievement. The way the different plot threads came together captivated me throughout its nearly three-hour running time; I didn't feel bored for even a moment. And the visuals and cinematography were incredible—a real treat to experience. While I did spend the first few minutes wondering, "When will Odysseus appear?", that question was eventually answered when he showed up on screen. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I was really impressed by Matt Damon's and Anne Hathaway's performances. Seriously, Anne Hathaway—you were fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous. The way she expressed all those hidden feelings was wonderful; it made me feel that same sense of trapped sadness, even though I wasn’t Penelope. And Matt Damon—his depiction of Odysseus’s remorse made his suffering deeply felt. I realize Greek mythology can be complicated and the conflicts are often messy (even if I haven't studied them closely), but this film managed to find a great harmony between those elements. Finally, I do appreciate you, Robert Pattinson, but your portrayal of Antinous made me want to hit you. And a special mention needs to go to Tom Holland and Zendaya—you both did an amazing job as Telemachus and Athena.
