This retelling of Homer’s classic has lasted for millennia, and Nolan’s version really highlights the reason behind its longevity. The conversations are concise and deliberate; there's a clear confidence in the viewers, and each significant moment—the Cyclops encounter, the Sirens, the events at Ithaca—culminates in something truly spectacular. The performances are excellent, the visuals are gorgeous, and experiencing it on IMAX only enhances the overall feeling of grandeur. It’s simply the best movie released this year.
