This movie is simply awful, disregarding fundamental principles of filmmaking and seemingly pushing some sort of new world order agenda while stripping away what made the original story meaningful. It's a really disappointing take on Homer’s work. I think Matt and his family ought to go somewhere like India during the next pandemic instead of filming in Ireland. Despite moments of good pacing, decent storytelling, and beautiful scenery, those elements aren't enough to impress most millennials; perhaps Gen Z will be swayed by the hype and visual quality, as it’s not difficult to mislead them. It’s worth noting how the studio prioritized showing this film early on in a country with a large population, clearly aiming for positive reactions from people who don’t really understand what they're seeing.
