It's hard to imagine even Monty Python doing a better job with this. It’s clear that whoever was in charge of the historical details doesn’t have a strong grasp of classical Greek history or mythology. They’ve actually uncovered artifacts from Troy and created facial reconstructions of people who lived there. Does it come as a shock to learn they appear Greek? Similarly, would you be surprised to find out that Homer's characters are consistently described as being Greek? There are some positives: the acting is decent, though occasionally the performers don’t quite seem right for their roles; the sets are impressive, the action sequences are acceptable, and the filming locations are excellent. Ultimately, I have to wonder what people from Greece themselves think of this retelling of their cultural legacy. As far as I'm concerned, history is what it happened to be, not something that can be altered to fit someone’s agenda. That about covers it.
