This was a truly unpleasant experience that I won’t be repeating and can’t suggest to anyone, not even those who are younger. I honestly cannot fathom how it warranted a second installment. The premise involves two separate narratives about criminal enterprises, but beyond the initial robbery, they don't connect in any meaningful way. The characters failed to engage me or elicit any positive feelings; perhaps the female squirrel character, the dog, and the silent rat were somewhat charming simply due to their innocence and lack of awareness. It’s not acceptable for viewers to still harbor negative opinions about the protagonists by the film's conclusion. Any fleetingly intriguing elements within the writing are overly intricate for children to grasp, and ultimately they don't resolve satisfactorily. The plot essentially boils down to a repetitive cycle: "squirrels desire nuts," "squirrels attempt to acquire nuts," "humans disapprove of squirrels"—and that’s it. Any qualities I might find appealing about this are more irritating than otherwise. Even the supposed surprises lose their impact because, regardless, everyone remains unpleasant; even when they happen to do something commendable.
