It feels much like a typical Hammer production, except with numerous scenes featuring female nudity, some of whom might or might not have fangs. The film’s lack of quality is only offset by this element—a type of objectified nakedness that doesn't enhance the very thin storyline. There is indeed a plot to be found. A man named "Pierre" (Olivier Rollin) comes across a woman fleeing from someone in the dark one night. He then learns she (played by Caroline Cartier, who appears infrequently and possesses an air of mystery) is being kept by his father. The question becomes whether he can figure out why and rescue her. Is she worth rescuing? Does any of this even matter? One particular moment involving women tumbling down a staircase provides some amusement, but many others are likely to try your patience and elicit a negative reaction. It seems to have gained a following for reasons that aren’t entirely clear—it's difficult to really criticize it. Ultimately, it's a badly written, shoddily directed film centered around soft vampire themes that has aged just as poorly as many other experimental or unconventional movies from the early 1970s. Perhaps it can be credited with some degree of originality or an attempt to address exploitation and moral questions? I’m not sure—but form your own opinion; watch it yourself. Just don't say I didn't warn you when you question why you spent your time on it.
