While I lacked familiarity with The Munsters even through reruns, it’s possible that some aspects were lost on me; however, Rob Zombie appears to have been influenced by the show and attempted to recreate its atmosphere. In contrast to what was done with The Addams Family movie—another series I wasn't acquainted with—the humor in this film didn't quite work, making it a difficult viewing experience. It’s true that the makeup effects were well-done, and I did find some value in the production design. Nevertheless, the storyline felt disjointed and concluded rather suddenly. **1.75/5**
