It’s hard to forget when _Dracula Untold_ failed to launch Universal's planned series of monster movies, leading them to abandon the idea. Now it seems they need to start over again, because _The Mummy_ doesn't even measure up to _Dracula Untold_. The film’s only positive aspect is Sofia Boutella’s performance as the Mummy, though she can’t really rescue what is a pretty disastrous production. _Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._
