The experience isn’t quite as captivating as titles like Autopsy of Jane Doe, or even other video game adaptations such as Exit 8 or Iron Lung. It feels similar to Five Nights at Freddy's, where fragments of background information are added in an attempt to create story and characters, but the result falls short. This film seems designed to lay groundwork for a follow-up installment; it’s disappointing that the movie itself wasn't more compelling. The acting choices and direction are adequate, and the special effects are unremarkable, however, the storyline, script, and how things unfold all contribute to an overall sense of dullness and tedium.
