It’s reasonably amusing. *The Million Dollar Duck* treads familiar ground, echoing many Disney comedies from roughly the same period, and because of that, it doesn't stand out significantly. The script feels contrived and poorly constructed in establishing what happens in the movie. Still, like these kinds of films often do, it manages to have some pleasant parts. This is aided by the actors chosen, a selection Disney usually handles quite well. Dean Jones consistently improves whatever he’s in, even if his work here isn't among his finest. Tony Roberts does an acceptable job as Fred, but the rest of the cast doesn’t contribute much, including Joe Flynn (Finley). It’s nothing spectacular, but it makes for a satisfactory viewing experience.
