I’d heard about *The Mighty Ducks* for ages, and I recently watched it for the first time. It was enjoyable, to put it simply. It's a pleasant sports movie with a worthwhile theme, some agreeable humor, and an adequate group of performers. Emilio Estevez is perfectly acceptable as Gordon; he’s easily the strongest actor in the film. The many young actors are all passable, though Shaun Weiss (as Goldberg) made the biggest impression on me. It's a pleasant movie about a community’s junior hockey team—something suitable for families to watch together.
