This movie is just plain fun! *The Mexican* manages to succeed both as a comedy and an adventure story on the road, so it seems like it accomplished its goals. The film, which came out in 2001, has a really good ensemble cast, including Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, plus James Gandolfini, J. K. Simmons, and Gene Hackman. I liked all of them, particularly the first three actors listed. It’s not something you need to analyze too deeply; it's meant to be enjoyed, and I certainly got a lot out of watching it—Gore Verbinski and his team deserve credit for that. Would I suggest seeing it? Absolutely!
