The premise of The Man from... movies might have held promise, but the film 'The Man from Toronto' doesn’t quite deliver. I enjoy Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson’s work, and they do elevate the movie somewhat, though even their presence couldn’t prevent it from feeling like a tiresome experience for me. It lacks originality; released in 2022, it feels as if it could have been made years earlier, around 2012. Hart's acting felt familiar, reminiscent of his roles in films such as 'Central Intelligence' alongside Dwayne Johnson and 'Ride Along' with Ice Cube. While the stories themselves differ, the overall feeling is quite similar. I think he’d be better off choosing projects like 'The Upside' and 'Fatherhood' instead. Ultimately, it’s a movie that quickly fades from memory. The excessive length doesn't help matters either.
