"The Man From Toronto" embodies what it means to be a completely unremarkable movie suitable for a casual weekend viewing. It’s best to simply accept the ridiculous plot and attempt to find amusement in the scattered moments of lightheartedness—the film would have benefited from being trimmed down. The visual effects are laughably poor, but Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson deliver performances that feel very familiar to their established personas, which should likely be enough to keep most people engaged. While it’s (considerably) short of being genuinely good, those who appreciate intentionally absurd, improbable stories purely for entertainment purposes will probably find this Netflix offering acceptable as a way to fill some time.
