The film's initial moments didn’t grab me; I found the first ten to fifteen minutes to be an exaggerated, unfunny parody of spy movies. It turns out this bizarre opening is presented as a novelist creating… well, another over-the-top spy story. The movie then improves, shifting between the novel’s narrative and what's happening in reality. Ultimately, it wasn't particularly impressive, though Jacqueline Bissett is pleasing to look at and she shares some enjoyable scenes with Jean-Paul Belmondo. **3.5/5**
