I want to express my sincere thanks to Yasuaki Kurata, Tadashi Yamashita, Poon Kin-Kwan and Director Yueh-Ting Men for creating this film. It's genuinely remarkable, particularly when you consider the time it was made. It’s important to note that filming took place in the Dominican Republic, not Dominica—they are separate countries with different languages. The Dominican Republic is part of Hispaniola, a Caribbean island also shared with Haiti and separated by a border. I find it surprising how often these two places get mixed up, especially in Asia, but correcting this misunderstanding seems necessary. As a young child, around six years old, I was fortunate enough to see one of the fight sequences, and it made quite an impression on me. Even today, watching the whole movie feels like traveling back in time to my childhood in my home country during the 1970s. I would suggest this film to anyone who appreciates martial arts movies from Asia, as well as Dominicans wanting to experience that period of history again.
