Goodness gracious! It's hard to imagine what Basil Rathbone ("Lodac") was thinking when he signed on for this nonsense fantasy. Estelle Winwood ("Sybil") looks like she stepped right out of "Bewitched," and Gary Lockwood ("George") doesn’t fare much better in a strange combination of the St. George and the Dragon legend with Arabian Nights stories. The writing is corny and predictable, and the special effects are charmingly low-budget. I managed to watch it all the way through because of Rathbone's performance, even until the over-the-top finale where "George" and his knights head out to save the princess from a wicked sorcerer; but I did – and maybe you should as well - particularly if your age is below ten.
