This film, claiming to be horror, comedy, or musical—it’s hard to say—is an exceptionally poor Polish production centering on two mermaids who perform songs and dances in a nightclub setting. The movie includes depictions of nude women without anatomical detail, scenes where mermaids consume people, the removal of tails, portrayals of mermaid genitalia, and inexplicable uses of sea foam. All of this is accompanied by truly dreadful music and choreography. Given its surprisingly positive reception, I suspect there’s some cultural element at play here that I'm missing; however, personally speaking, I would prefer self-harm to enduring another viewing.
