It gives off the impression of being an Australian film made on a limited budget, but the filmmakers make excellent use of their resources. The majority of the story unfolds within a small house located far from any town, and it's the visual presentation that elevates the movie’s quality considerably. Describing it further is challenging without revealing key plot points; however, the film establishes a palpable atmosphere with considerable emotional impact. One of its few missteps involves an extended scene depicting the best friend’s seemingly ordinary prom night, which feels disconnected from the horror elements. It almost functions as a survival-horror paired with a romantic comedy—a strange combination. Fans of films like "People Under the Stairs," "Don't Breathe," or any installment in the “Saw” series will probably find this one enjoyable.
