This documentary from Andreas Koefoed doesn't provide a final, clear resolution to the questions raised, but rather traces the artwork’s path—from its unexpected find in Florida to its very public purchase for $450 million. The film explores possibilities: Is it genuine; was it intentionally forged; is it an extensively repaired piece by Leonardo’s pupil or someone else involved in his workshop, perhaps even Dianne Modestini? A group of respected specialists who have been involved over the years are interviewed, offering a captivating examination of how art gets verified and exposing the complicated world of art dealing. It's definitely worth watching.
