I really didn't find much to appreciate in this film, but strangely, I keep thinking about it as if it’s better than it should be. That’s largely due to the performers in *‘The Laundromat.’* Meryl Streep (as Ellen), Gary Oldman (Mossack) and Antonio Banderas (Fonseca) are why I'm not giving this a worse rating; they prevent it from being unbearable. Jeffrey Wright, David Schwimmer and Nonso Anozie also appear, along with Sharon Stone and James Cromwell. The approach to presenting the story just didn’t sit well with me; I understand what they were trying to do, but it simply wasn't effective for my tastes. However, like many things, enjoyment will likely vary from person to person – I’m sure some viewers will consider it good. The humor fell flat for me. And while I praised Oldman and Banderas’ performances, I thought their characters were quite frustrating—the ending felt that way too. It seems deserving of a lower rating, but despite all that... I'll give it a generous 5 out of 5.
