The promotional image is possibly the most striking one I’ve ever seen for a film. The movie really piles on the clichés, and it's noticeable. It feels like an overabundance of something you wouldn’t expect. It reminded me of what _Constantine_ might have been like if it had been poorly made, or conversely, what _Seventh Son_ could have achieved with some improvements. There are also elements that recall the style of _Van Helsing_ from 2004. Final rating: ★★½ - There were aspects I found enjoyable, but ultimately it didn’t quite come together successfully.
