This was a nice reminder of films from the eighties. It isn't flawless, but it’s quite enjoyable considering its cost. The film feels similar to *The Expendables*, bringing together martial arts performers popular in the nineties such as Kurt McKinney, Matthias Hues, and Cynthia Rothrock among others. A highlight is definitely the music composed by Paul Hertzog and Stan Bush—they also did the scores for *Bloodsport* and *Kickboxer*. I felt that while the fight scenes were decent, they didn’t last long enough. Also, I thought the actors playing supporting roles seemed a bit past their prime and unremarkable (with the exception of those demonstrating Muay Thai, Capoeira, and the fighter who faced Kurt McKinney). The lengthy training sequences built up anticipation for something ultimately disappointing. However, there are definitely some good parts. Sadly, issues during production prevented it from reaching its full potential. These included economic factors, the director being removed from post-production, David Yeung’s injury (apparently), and a bizarre appearance by someone in Viking Samurai attire—a truly strange and misguided inclusion. Ultimately, I believe the film achieved what it set out to do. If there's another one, they should include performers like Loren Avedon and Gary Daniels, along with an entirely new storyline. I’d rate this movie a 6 out of 10.
