This film attempts to replicate the winning formula seen in *Speed*, pairing actors in a romantic drama, but it falls short. The movie feels rather lifeless, and the storyline doesn't make much sense. With time travel involved, you can’t dwell too deeply on the logic of the plot or it will unravel; this isn’t unique to this particular film. However, at times, the characters’ actions seem completely without purpose. Similarly, the personal difficulties each character faces feel unnecessary and don't contribute meaningfully to what's happening in the central narrative. The biggest problem is the absence of chemistry between the leads that was present in *Speed*. They simply lack any spark. The most enjoyable aspect is the gorgeous scenery of the Lake House.
