I’ve watched this one a few times over the years, and despite its flaws—and it definitely has them, like Richard Gere's Irish accent and Bruce Willis’s frequent hair transformations—I still consider it watchable and mildly amusing. My main issue lies with how they handled The Jackal’s character; his pursuit of Isabella felt out of place. For the majority of the film, he comes across as a detached and methodical assassin, but then he inexplicably goes after her while simultaneously orchestrating an assassination, or seeks revenge afterward, which doesn't quite track. And it’s hard to ignore that line revealing his real target—it was just awkward, even if Declan somehow arrived at the correct understanding. It probably comes down to careless writing. Still, there are some impressive visuals, especially considering they were using helicopters for aerial footage back then instead of drones now, and director Michael Caton-Jones did a decent job overall. **3.0/5**
