It’s hard to deny that *The Iron Claw* is an upsetting film! Even without any prior knowledge of the Von Erich family, it's possible to anticipate much of what happens throughout the story, and that only contributes to the pervasive sense of melancholy from the very beginning. The filmmakers managed to keep things moving at a solid clip; certain sections might have felt drawn out if handled differently. Zac Efron delivers an outstanding performance—truly remarkable work. I also found Holt McCallany’s contribution worthwhile, as were Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickinson's portrayals. The family members are depicted effectively, although it’s disappointing to learn that the brother Chris was omitted; while I understand why he wasn't included, I wish they had at least made some reference to him. Despite this, the movie is exceptional. It comes with a strong recommendation.
