I really hoped to enjoy this film, but there were times when my attention drifted. While I don’t have a problem with longer movies—some of my all-time favorites like *The Godfather Part II* and *Apocalypse Now* are quite long—this one felt about 20 minutes too extended, in my opinion. It was good to see De Niro attempting an acting performance instead of seeming detached, and Joe Pesci’s appearance was a definite plus. I wasn't completely convinced by Pacino’s portrayal of Hoffa, though. Ultimately, it might be worth seeing, but it doesn't compare favorably to Scorsese’s other works. **3.5/5**
