My initial and ongoing feeling about "The Internship" is that it’s quite silly. It painstakingly reuses familiar ideas to produce, if we can call it that, an expected and frequently ridiculous action-espionage movie. The plot centers on a team of teenage spies attempting to evade the CIA, which was responsible for their training. Complicating matters, nefarious Russians seem intent on wiping them out—or do they? The action sequences are adequately executed, though unrealistic, and the performances are acceptable but lack any real spark. Essentially, it’s a fairly standard spy-action film that you've likely encountered in some variation before. It’s an unremarkable choice for viewing.
