It’s easy to understand why “Don” feels frustrated being the constant target of his puppet companions' teasing, which leads him on a journey where he confronts some windmills—whether or not little ducklings are involved is unclear. During his travels, he meets "DJ Doggy Dog," and they share several lighthearted adventures helping those in need. Simultaneously, at their home base, the other puppets face danger when two young thieves plot to steal them for profit. Through sheer luck, our heroic duo happens upon the warehouse where his friends are being held prisoner. The question is whether they can devise a plan to rescue them from the bubble wrap. It's an enjoyable action movie filled with amusing conversations, fanciful bravery, and subtle reminders about working together, loyalty, family values, and avoiding water damage to electronics. The film moves at a good speed, the animation is appealing, and while I’m not certain who it’s intended for, I still found it entertaining—it has a storytelling quality reminiscent of a more mature "Pinocchio."
