I found 'The Imitation Game' to be really captivating. It occurred to me that I saw 2001’s 'Enigma' nearly five years back and do recall enjoying it, although I thought it was somewhat ordinary, especially at the beginning. This film from 2014 does a better job of presenting the story about Alan Turing and his team. The casting really stood out as particularly well done. Benedict Cumberbatch (and Alex Lawther) are wonderful in their roles. Keira Knightley (whose character has Elisabeth as a middle name), Matthew Goode, Charles Dance, and Mark Strong all deliver strong supporting performances. The plot centered around World War II makes for absorbing viewing, even if I’m certain it bends the truth like most films do; which is perfectly acceptable to me. The rhythm of the story feels very well-managed—I wasn't bored at any point while watching. The actors are certainly a major factor in that.
