_The Hyperions_ from The Daily Wire attempts to stand out as an unusual superhero narrative, blending action and humor. Unfortunately, it mainly demonstrates that originality doesn't automatically translate into quality. As a superhero film, the absence of actual superpowers was striking; it seemed like there wasn’t much money available for special effects. When considered as an action movie, the pacing felt off, with short bursts of activity separated by extended periods of dialogue. And as a comedy, humor was scarce, and its attempts at dry wit frequently missed the mark. The script itself appeared to be flawed, with plot points appearing and disappearing seemingly at random. Though I did appreciate some of the film’s creative choices, like the hand-drawn animation, they didn't significantly improve the final product. To be honest, I got more enjoyment from watching the trailer than from seeing the movie itself. The Daily Wire really misfired with _The Hyperions_, and hopefully won’t make that kind of error again.
