The film brought "The Fugitive" to mind, yet lacked any genuine feeling of danger. Tommy Lee Jones portrays L.T. Bonham, a former specialist in tracking and survival who is enlisted to assist the FBI—an organization seemingly unable to conduct an adequate inquiry on their own. The storyline feels familiar, although Benicia de Toro’s performance as the adversary, Aaron Hallam, introduces a sense of desperation and malice to the character. The movie moves at a brisk pace, and there's a palpable tension between the leads that creates some uncertainty about who is pursuing whom. It proved entertaining enough, culminating in a fairly action-filled and intense finale, but ultimately offers little new.
