The House offers an interesting collection of three separate stop-motion narratives, connected by a mysterious house that seems to attract people at various points in time. Every part has its own particular look and feel—shifting between unsettling and beautiful to realistic and dreamlike—and contains stories full of symbolic meaning. Although there are some moments that don’t quite add up and certain details remain obscure, the movie provides meaningful representations of feelings and mental processes, resulting in an experience that is both intellectually stimulating and visually appealing.
