It feels like there’s always another option when things go wrong. This is the sort of movie that seems to get released every year and does alright. It's not particularly impressive, but it’s still enjoyable. However, this isn't really a film meant for theaters; in today's world, seeing something like this on the big screen would be pointless. A weekend viewing with friends via streaming or television would be more suitable. The plot turned out to be stronger than I expected. It centers around parents whose daughter’s college scholarship is jeopardized, leading them to seek an unconventional solution by getting involved in illegal gambling and opening a gambling establishment. The repercussions of their actions then follow them, which leads to the film's conclusion. This marks the screenwriter's first time directing. The acting was solid, and the length—under 90 minutes—was ideal, avoiding any real lulls, aside from some predictable tropes common in comedies. Jeremy Renner’s brief appearance was a nice touch. Ultimately, it's one of those movies you watch and then forget about. Still, the premise had potential, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they decide to make a sequel. If a film like 'Neighbors' could get a second installment, then this one certainly could! But I don’t think it should happen unless they have a significantly improved story to tell. _6/10_
