The movie is Korean language with English subtitles, although there are instances where American characters speak with Korean subtitles displayed instead. The storyline revolves around a family's struggle—not just against the creature itself, but also dealing with government officials who believe they may have contracted some kind of virus from contact with it and want to take them into custody. The conversations felt fairly standard; I think there were a couple of moments that came across as humorous, although whether that was because of something in the original script or an issue with the subtitles is hard to say definitively. I didn't want to be overly critical here—I just let it play out until the end, and you might find yourself needing to do the same thing. I was a bit unclear about what happened to one of the family members at the conclusion. It’s possible that I wasn’t paying close enough attention, and rewatching that part would have made things clearer, but I honestly didn't feel motivated enough to go back and check.
