It’s a reasonably well-made suspense film featuring exciting action sequences and a truly unsettling portrayal by Rutger Hauer. While there were some awkward points in the narrative, particularly concerning Jennifer Jason Leigh's character's integration into the plot, I must note that the 2007 reimagining handled this aspect better.
