Just when I’m ready to cancel my Netflix subscription due to disappointing reboots and lackluster comedy shows, something like this arrives. The film was made on a limited budget, but that’s cleverly hidden; the production values feel elevated by the cast's abilities. It has an authentic look, convincingly recreating the atmosphere of the 1930s. The performances are excellent, and the movie manages to balance humor with genuine intensity as you observe these two veteran Texas Rangers navigating a world transformed. Simply put, it’s a joy to watch.
