This felt like a draining experience. I’ve watched quite a few films from Film Movement, and this one ranks near the bottom of my list. It seemed to lack any real drive or purpose, falling short in its attempts at depicting a road trip, a father-son relationship, or even a search for meaning. The scenes of the large crowds during the pilgrimage to Mecca were striking, but beyond that, I can’t really suggest watching it.
