Interestingly, I believe it’s the unusual combination of conflicting genres and elements that ultimately contributes to the film's success. It works exceptionally well as a romantic storyline; the central characters display a palpable chemistry brimming with humor, eccentricity, and genuine feeling. Furthermore, it succeeds as a fantasy horror, science fiction, and thriller, featuring inventive plot points and action sequences that blend together seamlessly. The visual effects are passable but sufficient to create an unsettling sense of excitement. Ultimately, I found this film enjoyable.
