"The Good Nurse" benefits from its excellent cast, which helps to bring a disturbing real-life narrative to life—one that I suspect will stick with me. Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne deliver strong performances in a story depicting a serial killer whose actions exposed serious ethical failings and a disregard for human life within hospitals and among those who run them; it seemed they prioritized self-preservation over the well-being of numerous patients. The film represents an extreme example of failure to understand or address critical issues, though there’s a glimmer of hopefulness toward the very end. Rating: B
