I’d been eagerly awaiting this movie since I first heard about it. It felt like an incredibly long wait though; Windows has even had multiple updates in the meantime! Now that it's finally here, I have to say, it wasn’t quite what I hoped for. I think it could have been better, particularly when it comes to the plot. The animation itself was well-done and technically sound, but the story didn’t really land with me. It felt a lot like just another version of 'The Croods'. Actually, it would be amazing to see a crossover—imagine characters from this film and that family together as one big group who somehow got separated. Of course, they're from different studios, so making something like that happen seems really difficult. Having civilized dinosaurs was odd, but I can accept it in a children’s movie and animated feature. It was fun to embrace the idea: Apatosaurus as farmers, T-Rex as cowboys—a completely new take on things, with humans still lower down when it comes to power and intelligence. I'm being upfront about my feelings. I think the story’s message about finding yourself and overcoming fear is good for kids. However, it doesn’t feel entirely original; it has similarities to 'The Lion King,' especially in the early scenes between a father and son. It's not a bad film by any means—it's enjoyable enough to watch once or twice—but it’s just not exceptional. 7/10
