“The Ghost,” also known as “Lo Spettro,” is an Italian Gothic horror film that borrows from the French production “Les Diaboliques” (1955), and its impact can be seen in later works; a specific visual effect—blood dripping from the ceiling—would reappear in "The Devil’s Nightmare" (1971), while another element, involving a music box, found its way into "For a Few Dollars More" (1965).
