The ongoing stories involving 'Tod' and "Copper" seem primarily designed to showcase lively country and western musical performances. The plot itself doesn’t really matter much. As they travel, they encounter a group of musicians who become quite fond of "Copper," suggesting the possibility of achieving fame. This creates difficulties for their friendship—particularly with the “Grand Ole Opry” appearing as an option, and them having increasingly less time together. Will "Tod" be able to help his friend understand that it's just wishful thinking? Or could it be that "Copper" is meant for a career in show business? The animation largely concentrates on the characters who speak, which results in the backgrounds appearing quite still and flat. The depiction of the fairground isn’t any better than what was shown in “Mary Poppins” over forty years ago, and the personalities depend too much on the songs themselves. This is clearly a direct-to-video production; children might find it entertaining once, but I can't imagine anyone wanting to watch it again.
